EPPWS GSO

Purpose
The objective of the EPPWS–GSO is to bring together graduate students in the Entomology, Plant Pathology, and Weed Science disciplines as a unified community. The organization creates opportunities for academic collaboration, professional development, outreach initiatives, and networking among its members. EPPWS–GSO also serves as a link between students and relevant professional, research, and funding opportunities.
GSO Executive Council: 2025–2026
The Executive Board shall be composed of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Social Media Admin.
President – Shall oversee all activities of the EPPWS–GSO, ensure compliance with the organization’s bylaws, serve as the official representative of the organization, govern proceedings during general meetings, and call regular and special meetings when necessary. The President also oversees committees and organizational initiatives.
Secretary – Shall keep official records and meeting minutes of the EPPWS–GSO, maintain attendance records, manage organizational correspondence, and notify members of meetings and agendas.
Treasurer – Shall oversee the management and disbursement of all funds belonging to the EPPWS–GSO, maintain accurate financial records, document financial procedures, and ensure compliance with university financial policies.
Social Media Admin – Shall manage the organization’s social media platforms and online presence, promote events and initiatives, and ensure timely communication with members and the broader academic community.
