The J. Gordon Watts Entomology Laboratories (previously known as the Range Insect Laboratories) was renamed in honor of J. Gordon Watts, renowned entomologist and founder of EPPWS.
He was acknowledged worldwide as an authority in rangeland insects, and his book, Rangeland Entomology, is considered the final word on the subject.
