Student Internships
Disney
Disney, Orlando, Fla, is seeking applicants for its Horticulture Professional Internship Program for summer 2008.
Applicants must have a strong academic background and have completed their junior year by the time work assignment begins. Forestry, Horticulture, Soil Science, and Entomology are acceptable majors.
Interns will be Disney "cast members" and work with ornamental trees, shrubs, and 2,000 acres of turf throughout the 30,500-acres Disney World Resort.

Texas IPM Program
We have two Extension Agent-IPM positions available in the Texas IPM Program. One is in Gaines Co. on the High Plains emphasizing cotton and peanuts and the other in Williamson and Milam Counties near Austin. This position emphasizes cotton, corn and sorghum in addition to some urban work. Each position is listed on the Greatjobs.tamu.edu (link below) website under Entomology and IPM.

We are in need of multiple sales personnel nationwide with experience in seed, fertilizer or agri products. The salary is up to 75K base with another 25K in bonus payouts plus a company vehicle.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- The successful individual will be responsible for attaining and exceeding planned sales and margins with all professional turf product accounts by maintaining the existing customer base and attracting new customers and business opportunities, introducing new products to customers and providing the Sales/Marketing Professional Team with input on competitive activity and market conditions.
- This position will also be required to provide technical knowledge and problem solving expertise to our customers regarding the most effective use and application of products as well as maintaining up to date technical knowledge on all aspects of seed, fertilizer and chemicals used by our agricultural and industrial customers.
Qualifications of the Position Include:
- Having proven communication, presentation and people skills.
- Having a minimum of 5 years experience in the turf, horticultural, landscape environments.
- Possessing a post-secondary education in turn management and/or equivalent experience.
- Having the proven ability to represent out key brands to the golf and professional lawn care industries, to meet sales goals and objectives.
- Possessing excellent computer skills.
- Having the ability to work independently with flexible hours.
- Being able to travel.

Natural Resources Conservation Service
We are currently recruiting students for the Student Career Experience Program (SCEP). We are mainly looking for freshmen and sophomores. Students are required to complete 640 hours of career-related work prior to meeting the academic requirements for graduation.
The positions we are recruiting for are:
1 - Student Soil Conservationist - to be located in Socorro, NM
2 - Student Soil Scientists - to be located in Grants and Santa Fe Soil Survey Offices
1 - Student Rangeland Management Specialist - to be located in Gallup or Grants
1 - Student Agronomist - to be located in Roswell or Ft. Sumner, NM
Students will be assigned to a different field office every summer during their employment with NRCS
